At our North Bay property we do not run a traditional poker room. That means no player-versus-player cash tables, no sit-and-go formats, and no in-house tournament list to check. What we offer instead are house-banked poker-style table games where you use standard poker hand rankings, but you always play against the dealer. Ultimate Texas Hold’em keeps a structure that regular poker players usually recognize quite fast. If you are planning to join a table during the week, it is important to keep the schedule in mind. From Monday through Thursday, live tables are not available until 4:00 pm. Our weekend hours give more flexibility and run a bit longer.

How to play Ultimate Texas Hold’em

A typical hand of Ultimate Texas Hold’em at our casino looks like this:

1. Take a seat at an open spot during table hours and buy in by exchanging cash for chips. If you need cash before that, there is an ABM on site.
2. Put down equal Ante and Blind wagers in the marked betting circles before any cards are dealt. These are your main starting bets.
3. The dealer gives you two hole cards, face down. After looking at them, you may either raise 3x or 4x your Ante amount, or you can check to delay your raise and see more cards.
4. The dealer then places three community cards face up on the layout. If you chose to check earlier, you now have a second chance to raise 2x your Ante or check again to hold off.
5. Two final community cards are turned over. If you still have not raised by this point, you must either make a raise of 1x your Ante or fold your hand. Folding means your Ante and Blind bets are removed and lost.
6. After that decision, the dealer exposes their two hole cards. To qualify, the dealer needs at least a pair.
7. If the dealer does not qualify with that hand, your Ante pushes back to you with no win or loss on that part, while your Blind and any raise bets are settled according to the strength of your hand on the posted pay table.
8. If the dealer does qualify and your hand ranks higher, all your active bets are paid out as indicated on the table signage. If the dealer’s hand wins, every bet you have on that round is collected.

The early choice to raise or not in step 3 holds much of the strategic weight. Committing to a raise with a strong starting hand at that stage is usually the more assertive play. Whether that is appropriate depends entirely on the specific two cards you look down at and your comfort level with risk in that session.

How to play Mississippi Stud

Mississippi Stud offers a different rhythm from Ultimate Texas Hold’em and tends to feel more incremental. The betting structure is progressive, which means each decision you make before the final card directly adds to how much you have at risk. It rewards discipline, and it can also punish chasing if you are not careful.

Here is how a hand of Mississippi Stud proceeds at our tables:

1. Sit at a Mississippi Stud seat while tables are open and exchange cash for chips with the dealer.
2. Make an Ante wager. The dealer then gives you two hole cards face down.
3. Three community cards are put face down in front of the dealer. Once you look at your two cards, you must either fold immediately or place a 3rd Street wager of 1x, 2x, or 3x your Ante.
4. The first community card is flipped face up. Using that new information together with your original two cards, you then decide whether to fold or to place a 4th Street bet, again choosing 1x, 2x, or 3x your Ante amount.
5. The second community card is turned over. At this point you can still fold, or you can continue with a 5th Street wager set between 1x and 3x your Ante.
6. The final community card is revealed, giving you a complete five-card hand. Your outcome is then settled against the posted pay table for Mississippi Stud.
7. A pair of sixes or higher will pay according to that pay table. Hands weaker than a pair of sixes lose all active bets for that round. A pair of threes, fours, or fives will generally result in a push, with exact treatment based on the table rules.

At every stage where folding is allowed, that option exists to limit losses. Continuing to bet into a hand that is clearly weak across three streets is one of the most common ways a session balance can drop quicker than expected.
